Details
East Bay Sanctuary Covenant (EBSC), in collaboration with The Freight, invites you to a screening of the short documentary film "No Separate Survival" followed by an intimate discussion with the director and filmmakers. Join us at 4:30PM for a pre-screening reception with appetizers and drinks. The film screening will begin at 5:45PM. This is a benefit where all funds raised will support EBSC’s work in providing legal and social services, Know Your Rights education, and cash assistance for immigrants in the Bay Area.
"No Separate Survival" is a short documentary film about asylum seekers across the U.S./Mexico border. Through a lens of creative expression, the film gives voice to what it means to create home and seek safety. Themes of gender identity, loss and violence, chosen families, and the ways we make place reveal our shared humanity in a divisive world.
