A BENEFIT FOR THE FREIGHT!
A celebration of the legacy of Warren Hellman, featuring biological and extended-musical family of the storied Bay Area philanthropist, banjo player and founder of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass.

Hills to Hollers (Bay Bridge Set)
An East Bay/Freight supergroup featuring Barbara Higbie, Vicki Randle, Laurie Lewis and very special guests exploring the intersection of ethnic influences across the spectrum of the Americana idiom. Soulfully emotive, high energy and fun!
Marco & the Polos (Golden Gate Bridge Set)
A sibling vocal quartet featuring Judith, Tricia, Frances and Marco Hellman whose set spans Americana-tinged originals and unexpected folk and rock covers accompanied by a rotating cast of some of the Bay Area’s finest session players. As comfortable gracing festival stages as they are breaking hearts in intimate listening rooms, Marco & the Polos are a mainstay of the Bay Area acoustic scene and a fixture at the Hardy Strictly Bluegrass Festival.

Purple Glaze (Richmond Bridge Set)
A Bay Area-based acoustic Americana string-band-plus-accordion and arts collective borne of their shared love of artisan pottery. Showcasing the signature mother-daughter harmonies of Kate and Tricia Gibbs, they perform original songs and reimagined arrangements of traditional folk and bluegrass supported by some of the Bay Area’s top acoustic pickers.
