The Jazzschool Studio Band, directed by Dave Eshelman, perennially receives national recognition from the Downbeat magazine annual student music awards. The group has performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands, the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, and the Vienne Jazz Festival in France. Each year the band produces a professional quality studio recording, the origin of its name. Two student arrangements will be featured.

The Jazz Garden Big Band presents "From Brazil to the Beatles". Join the Jazz Garden Big Band as they perform music of Brazil, the Beatles and a lot in between. Enjoy music of Africa (via the Caribbean), New York and California, from Duke Ellington to Chick Corea.
The Jazz Garden Big Band features some of the most active freelance musicians in the Bay Area. Many have performed with the band for decades.
