Easy Repertoire for Jamming
Description
Would you like to be playing music with other folks, and wonder what songs to learn? There’s a great tradition of simple, easy-to-play songs that are welcome at parties, jams, and gatherings with a friend or two. Songs that are fun, meaningful, and easy to sing!
In this class, we’ll be playing and singing five new songs each week, taken from the worlds of folk, country and bluegrass music. I’ll be providing lyrics and chord sheets, and links to various versions of each of the songs, giving you an idea of how they go, where they’re from, and how others have sung them.
Bring a guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, dobro - whatever you’ll be playing. We’ll have fun singing them together and getting your notebook full of great songs to jam with!
Richard Brandenburg has been a performing singer and songwriter around the Bay Area for many years. He has taught vocals, guitar, songwriting, and country repertoire at various music camps. He works with private students, teaches lead and harmony vocal workshops, and leads an ongoing jam workshop at his home in San Francisco.
